In the previous section, we briefly introduced the method for calculating the fuel consumption of a 1 ton steam boiler. Knowing the calorific value of the fuel, the thermal efficiency of the boiler, and the boiler capacity, it is possible to calculate how much fuel a boiler needs per hour. Boiler fuel consumption (hourly) = Boiler capacity / fuel calorific value / Boiler thermal efficiency
Model: wns series oil and gas boiler
Evaporating capacity: 5 t/h
Steam pressure 1 MPa
Steam temperature 184 ℃
Feed-water temperature 20 ℃
Design efficiency 98%
Design fuel natural gas
Fume exhaust temperature 65.6℃
Heat load 50%-100%
Model: szs series oil/gas boiler
Evaporating capacity: 5 t/h
Steam pressure 1 MPa
Steam temperature 184 ℃
Feed-water temperature 20 ℃
Design efficiency 97.1%
Design fuel natural gas
Fume exhaust temperature 68℃
Heat load 50%-100%
The calorific value of natural gas is 8500kCal/N m³. After calculation, the fuel consumption of 5 ton szs series boiler = 5 ton/hr(600000*5 kCal)÷8500kCal/Nm³÷97.1%=363.48 Nm³/h. Similarly, it is available that 5 ton wns series boiler fuel consumption =360.14 Nm³/h.
Natural gas is more expensive than other fuels such as coal and biomass fuels. However, natural gas boilers have the advantages of high thermal efficiency, fast steam production, and intelligent operation, which can meet the needs of enterprises more quickly and effectively.
